21 October 2001 - We Muslims must fight our own war of independence

For far too long far too many Muslims have been trying to play the game of the Jews. Defeated by European colonialists all over the world lastly by the Zionists, we have sought to tell the world that we are victims of forces beyond our control. Rubbish! The first step in winning independence from those who wish to oppress us is to stop this 'pleading victim' mentality.

Sanctions in Iraq are not what is killing the innocents there. Iraq could well be self sufficient if it made the organised effort. But it serves the victim status propaganda to say that it is the fault of the USA. The refugees from Palestine are made to suffer for the same reason, living in camps just outside the land they once knew as home. They could be looked after much better by the surrounding Arab countries. But that wouldn't serve the victim status pleas. The Afghans have suffered decades of civil war and strife which they often blame on external interests fighting proxy wars, but what do you expect when you disobey Allah and his messenger and become the exporter of much of the worlds hard narcotics?

It is also these victim status claims that are used to motivate the "useful idiots" who apparently carried out  the Sept 11 attacks. These claims are not merely stupid and self defeating, but destructively evil.

God has promised us Muslims His help, and there is no strength and no power except through God's help. But it comes with conditions. To achieve a goal, we must know that it is right and just. We must be using means that are right and just. We must be sincere and free from hypocrisy. We must make the necessary effort to do it and not sit back or be lazy. We must be patient and persevering and not compromise on what is right because of anger or frustration at our apparent lack of success. And last, but absolutely not least, we must pray and ask God for His help trusting completely that He will give it.

We Muslims must fight our own war of independence. We must stop seeing ourselves as the helpless pleading victims seeking justice, but rather as fighters aiming to establish freedom and justice.
